Welcome to this invitation-only tour hosted by Heather and Beppe, the founders of Tourissimo, together with longtime Tourissimo guide Alessandro.

Founders Tours are special-edition trips that are not available to the general public. They give us a chance to try new things and experiment with different locations and formats. This year, we’re offering something we’ve never done before: a bike and boat tour!

Did you know there’s a bike and boat tour right here in Italy? 

This fascinating journey takes you by bike and boat across the Po Valley, between Mantua, the pearl of the Renaissance, and Venice.

Follow the course of two of Italy’s most important rivers, the Mincio and the Po, as you discover unusual villages and landscapes where life moves at a slower, more traditional pace. After passing through Ferrara, a bike-friendly city between Bologna and Venice, you’ll continue toward the Po Delta, where quiet roads wind through reed beds and fishing valleys.

The Venice Lagoon begins in the little village of Chioggia. From there, enjoy views of the Serenissima, the traditional name for the ancient Republic of Venice, from the comfort of our riverboat.

Heather and Beppe experienced this tour as guests in August 2026, while Alessandro, a native of the Veneto region, has actually guided boat tours along this very route. So we’ve seen it from both sides, and we’re excited to welcome you on a cycling and boating adventure you won’t soon forget.
