Mary Sue Milliken returns for her 9th Chef Bike Tour: this time in Umbria, the Green Heart of Italy. We’ll stay in one location, the stunning Villa Battisole on Lake Trasimeno. This single home base gives us more time in the kitchen with Mary Sue, cooking together and celebrating the region’s incredible fall bounty. October marks the start of the olive harvest and the arrival of olio nuovo, alongside fresh grapes, chestnuts, wild mushrooms, figs, pomegranates, and hearty vegetables like fennel, radicchio, and squash. We’ll also head into the Umbrian countryside to forage for wild herbs and mushrooms that will inspire our meals and deepen our connection to the land.
